What equipment do you need for video conferencing?

The application of remote video conferencing has improved the efficiency of cross-regional communication. Since voice communication cannot meet the needs of sharing pictures and charts in some scenarios, video conferencing equipment and conference rooms have become the basic requirements of many enterprises and institutions. So, what equipment is needed to conduct video conferencing?

1. MCU, that is, multi-point control unit

MCU is the core component of multi-point video conferencing. Its function is to manage and dispatch the various conference signals input in the conference. The data and signals that need to be transmitted in a video conference include images, voice and other media data signals. In order to realize the transmission and sharing of these information by all parties involved in the conference, it is necessary to equip MCU to collect, process and distribute these signals respectively. Therefore, the convening of multi-point video conferences is inseparable from the deployment of MCU equipment.

2. Video conferencing terminal

Video conferencing terminal is a multimedia communication terminal device. Its working principle is to complete the transmission and exchange of video, audio, etc. through communication protocols such as H.323/H320/SIP, so as to help all parties involved in the video conference. Currently, the video conferencing terminals on the market are divided into: split terminals; audio and video integrated terminals.

3. Video conference camera

Video conference camera is an important device in video conference, mainly used to obtain images of the conference site and input them into the video conference terminal. Video conference cameras generally need to meet basic functions such as high definition, fast positioning, and fast focusing to provide high-quality, professional-level picture scenes for participants.

4. Video conference audio equipment

Video conference audio equipment is mainly divided into: audio input equipment, namely microphones/microphones, which are mainly used to pick up the sound of the venue and transmit it to the video conference terminal; video output equipment, namely speakers/speakers, which are mainly used to improve the sound effect of the venue; audio control equipment, namely the tuning console. The quality of the conference microphone is an important factor affecting the conference voice experience.

5. Other equipment

Video conference equipment also includes video output equipment, namely TV/monitor; data transmission accessories, HDMI cables or wireless screen transmission tools.
